For more than 60 years, ARCAP Community Action Agency has been dedicated to empowering and supporting the families of Alamance, Rockingham, Caswell and Person Counties. As a locally rooted and community‑focused organization, we work every day to reduce barriers, expand opportunity, and strengthen self‑sufficiency for our neighbors.
Today, we proudly operate the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Self‑Sufficiency Program and the Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP) for Alamance County residents providing essential resources, guidance, and hope to residents across the county.

Help Shape Services in Your Community
Every three years, our agency conducts a Community Needs Assessment to better understand the needs, challenges, and priorities of residents in Alamance, Rockingham, Caswell, and Person counties. This process is required under federal Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) guidelines and helps ensure our programs reflect the voices of the community.
