At this time, we are not accepting new applications for Alamance and Rockingham counties. These counties currently have an active waitlist for the Self-Sufficiency Program.

If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please email our CSBG Director, Sapna Narasimhamurthy, and include the following information:

Before You Apply — Please Read Carefully

Before submitting an application, you must review the Self-Sufficiency Program Orientation Slideshow below. You can view the orientation online below or download a copy to your mobile device or computer. Applications submitted without completing this step cannot be accepted.

Application Requirements

  • All pages of the application must be completed

  • All pages must be submitted together

  • Incomplete applications will not be reviewed

Completing the Application on Your Device

If you are using an iPhone:

  • Allow the application to open (it may open in a new tab)

  • Tap the Share button (you may need to press and hold)

  • Select Markup

  • Tap the Text button (to the left of the marker)

  • Complete the PDF, tap Done, save the file, and upload it below

If you are using an Android device:

  • You may need an external app such as OneDrive, Google Drive, or Adobe Acrobat to complete the PDF

Paper Application Option

If you are unable to complete the application electronically, you may:

  • Print the application and fill it out by hand

  • Upload a clear, legible scan or photo of the completed application
