Community Service Block Grant Self-Sufficiency Program

The CSBG Self-Sufficiency program is designed to provide comprehensive case management services to eligible individuals and families in Alamance, Rockingham, Caswell, and Person Counties with a focus on employment and better employment, childcare, education assistance, budget management, limited transportation, housing, and food assistance to become economically self-sufficient. The Program also provides information about, and referrals to other service organizations in the community.

Emergency Food Assistance Program

The Emergency Food Assistance Program (Food Pantry) is designed to reduce the number of families experiencing food insecurities in Alamance County. Households experiencing emergency situations qualify for food assistance. Once every three months (90 days), households may receive emergency food, which includes a three- to four-day food supply. Special dietary foods may be available upon request. Applicants must show proof of residency.
