Self-Sufficiency (CSBG) Outcomes & Services FY 2025-2026
Through the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Self-Sufficiency Program, ARCAP Community Action Agency served 148 individuals and families, surpassing the annual goal of 135 participants. The program helped participants increase self-sufficiency through employment opportunities, housing stability, emergency assistance, utility support, and other essential services. During FY 2025-2026, families achieved meaningful progress, including securing employment, improving income, maintaining stable housing, and accessing resources that reduced barriers to long-term success. These outcomes reflect ARCAP's commitment to empowering individuals and families to build stronger, more stable futures.
Emergency Food Assistance Food Program (EFAP) FY 2025-2026
ARCAP’s Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP) helps individuals and families facing food insecurity by providing access to nutritious food and essential resources. During FY 2025-2026, the Alamance County Food Pantry served 208 families and 627 individuals, helping reduce hunger and improve food access throughout the community. Through monthly food distributions and supportive services, ARCAP continues to address immediate needs while promoting stability, health, and well-being for local households.

Through the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Self-Sufficiency Program, ARCAP Community Action Agency helped 140 individuals and families work toward greater stability and self-sufficiency. Services focused on employment, housing stability, utility assistance, education support, and emergency assistance. During FY 2024-2025, program participants achieved positive outcomes including securing and maintaining housing, improving employment opportunities, preventing utility disconnections, and accessing critical support services that strengthened their economic well-being and quality of life. The program continues to empower families to overcome barriers and build a path toward long-term self-sufficiency.
Emergency Food Assistance Food Program (EFAP) FY 2024-2025
Through ARCAP’s Emergency Food Assistance Program (EFAP), the Alamance County Food Pantry provided critical food support to community members experiencing food insecurity. During FY 2024-2025, the pantry served 328 families and 944 individuals, helping households access nutritious food and reduce the burden of hunger. By offering consistent emergency food assistance, ARCAP helped families meet their immediate nutritional needs while supporting overall household stability and well-being throughout Alamance County.
